How it works

Three simple steps to earning commission

Anyone can refer a business to Digital Spa. You don’t need to be a client, and you don’t need to know anything about websites.

1

Tell us who

Check they’re happy for you to pass on their details, then send us their name and business before they sign up.

2

We take it from there

Mark gets in touch, answers their questions and builds their website. You don’t have to do any selling.

3

You get paid

You receive half your commission after their second monthly payment, and the rest after their sixth.

What you earn

How much is each referral worth?

You earn a third of the client’s first-year package fees, so a referral to a Starter website pays £100 and a Growth website pays £140.

Starter website: £100

£50 after the client’s second monthly payment, and £50 after their sixth. Starter websites are £25 a month.

Growth website: £140

£70 after the client’s second monthly payment, and £70 after their sixth. Growth websites are £35 a month.

Advanced website: a third of year one

For online shops, bookings and custom features, we’ll confirm your commission when the client’s price is agreed.

Questions

Referral scheme questions

Quick answers to what most people ask.

Who can join the referral scheme?

Anyone aged 18 or over, including Digital Spa clients, accountants, bookkeepers, printers, sign writers and other local businesses. There’s no sign-up fee.

Which referrals count?

A referral counts if the business is new to Digital Spa, you tell us about it before it signs up, and it becomes a paying website client. If we’ve already been talking to the business, or someone else referred it first, we’ll let you know.

What happens if the client leaves early?

You keep anything already paid. Any commission that isn’t yet due simply isn’t paid, so if a client leaves before their sixth payment, the second part doesn’t apply.

Can I have money off my website instead?

Yes. Digital Spa clients can choose credit against their monthly payments instead of a bank transfer.

Is commission paid on add-ons or later years?

No. Commission is based on the client’s first-year package fees only.

Do I need to tell the business I earn commission?

Yes, please do. We just ask you to be open about it, and to quote only the prices shown on our website.

Do I have to pay tax on my commission?

You’re responsible for your own tax. If you’re unsure, it’s worth asking your accountant.

Can the scheme change?

We may change or end the scheme at any time, but any commission you’ve already earned will still be paid. Full terms are in the referral agreement we send you with your first referral.
